the blessing of the blessed sacrament
On September 8, 2002, at approximately 8:45 a.m. during the 8:30 Mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Highway 90 in Paradis, Louisiana, I John R. Courville, Jr., was graced with the awesome, glorious presence of the Blessed Most Holy Trinity.

I was overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit and witnessed the Blessing of the Blessed Sacrament. At one time I looked over next to me to see if my wife Judy had seen the same thing, but her attention was unchanged. I began to feel overwhelmed with joy and great peace by the awesome presence of Our Heavenly Father, Our Lord Jesus and what appeared to be the white dove, “The Holy Spirit.” At that time I heard my name called in a stern but loving voice, from inside like I have never heard before. So at that time I looked up and saw Our Lord Jesus Christ in awesome majesty over Rev. Msgr. James Moragne (Father Jim) while he was consecrating the Eucharist. I said to myself, “Thank You My Precious Jesus.” I then filled with great joy and Our Lord responded with a slight nod of His head and said to me, “John, I will give you the grace that you have prayed for since you were five years old. You have prayed for the chance to serve Me in any way I would will it. I will that you spread the grace that I give to you today. Tell My children that in the world today, they (My children) have to see everything to believe it, but I say unto you, blessed are those who believe in Me and have not seen Me. John, tell My children to go to confession and receive their penance for that is their purification here on earth, the penance that they will receive from My priests that I will give My priest. Receive me in My Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, in the Blessed Sacrament (the Holy Eucharist). For I say unto you My son, My Kingdom is nigh (near). For whosoever receives Me in My Blessed Sacrament (Holy Communion), the light that will shine from them when I return, no darkness shall overcome it. I will know My true children, (the children that will obey Me) by that light, I will raise them up on the last day. Do this for I have promised Eternal Life for those who receive Me, receive My Father who sent Me.”

Our Lord Jesus began reciting His own word that I recognized from the Bible (Jn 6:51-58): “I am the Living Bread which came down from Heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever, and the bread that I will give is of My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. Verily, verily, I say unto you, except ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink of His blood, ye have no life in you. Who so eateth My flesh and drinketh My blood will have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For My flesh is meat indeed and My blood is drink indeed. For those who have ears, let them hear. He that eateth My flesh and drinketh My blood, dwelleth in Me and I in him. John, I have a mission for you, I would like for you to use your talent I gave you and draw what you have seen here today. I will that you tell My children that whoever touches your picture of the Blessing of the Blessed Sacrament, I will touch their hearts with My presence. I will also give you the ability to know My true children that believe in Me.”

From September 8, 2002, to Easter Sunday 2003, the vision in the description above is what I saw. When Father Jim asked our Heavenly Father to bless and accept the sacrifice as we are asked to do, that is when Our Lord Jesus visits us. When He appears, Our Lord Jesus has His hands on His chest, looking over His Church. I always feel sadness at that time for the pews that are empty. As Father Jim elevates the Eucharist this is when Our Lord opens His arms, and closes His eyes and the light that shines from the Holy Spirit and Our Lord Jesus is so bright that it disfigures the altar and its surroundings. You can plainly see the bread and wine being transformed into Our Lord’s body and blood, just as He promises.
