When I was three years old my family moved from Lafayette, Louisiana
to Kenner, Louisiana. My father moved to Kenner for the work was
more steady. When I was five years of age I began religion at
Our Lady of Perpetual Help school and church.
When I was a little older my family again moved to a smaller town
called New Sarpy, Louisiana, which is only a few miles from Kenner.
I attended Destrehan High School where I graduated
on May 21, 1979. Then I decided I wanted to be a policeman.
I then went from high school to boot camp training at Louisiana State
University College for six weeks. I graduated from Louisiana
State in January 1980.
I then fulfilled my dreams of being a Policeman.
But I had one more dream I needed to fulfill. I wanted to find
that special someone to share my life with. It all began the
night of Feb. 20, 1980. I prayed to my Heavenly Father, please
grace me with your loving plans for me my Father, for I am ready to
settle down and marry my mate you have planned for me. I promise
to love her and honor her for life, and with your guidance "I will".
I began that very night dreaming of a very beautiful woman that my
heart
longed to meet. On Feb. 28, 1980 I met the woman in my dreams.
Her name was Judy Perez. We dated for two years, and I knew from
that day on I would marry her. On December 4, 1982 I married her
at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
We have five wonderful children. They are
Monica, Amy, Crystal, Heidi, and John.
We have four beautiful grandchildren and a new one
is on the way in May 2005. They are Carley, Miranda, Dayton, and
Kade.
I am presently employed by Fleming Construction
Company as a Heavy Equipment Operator Foreman.
